Hi there! To get the most out of these chapters, I suggest you begin at the beginning. It just makes the Xanax references that much better…
I don’t even think the airport doors had fully opened yet to let us in before Tucker’s tics came in full-swing.
“Cunt!” And he didn’t just say it, he screamed it. At the top of his lungs.
The 80 or so people hurrying to security or the ticketing counter just stopped and stared, again with that whole, “why aren’t you punishing your son?” look. To make matters seem worse to these strangers, we don’t even seem to be alarmed. For extremely obvious reasons, the members of my family are not easily embarrassed…
Chapter Two: Camp Twitch and Shout
Tourettes Camp. A place to make some of the sweetest friends you will ever know, help kids understand that they are not alone in their struggles, and to get punched in the boob, water thrown at your face and be unintentionally verbally degraded on a regular basis for five days…
Cambria,
I love , love, LOVE this!! I believe you were one of Analey’s counselors at camp! Your writing about your brother and the rest of the famy had me cracking up!!! I totally get the laughing so you don’t cry! While my children’s tics are mild, we all know someone from camp I think with the coprolalia. You MUST write a book! Loving your writing style already! Can’t wait to read more! Entertaining and informative!!
